Introduction

The creation of SeaLegacy Publishing, a division of E. G. Duarte & Associates, enables us to publish events and historical research suitable for distribution to general audiences.

Without a doubt, truth and understanding are becoming serious issues governing human behavior. Today's human paradox maintains a desire to see ignorance dominate our society, where in most cases, historical events are distorted to suit the wishes of its leadership.

Contrary to general belief, happiness emerges from factual knowledge about an individual's existence and not from involvement in a human paradox. Plainly speaking, an individual robbed of ancestral historical events remains adrift in a sea of confusion where the same applies to a society robbed of its past.

Five centuries ago Capt. Alvaro Martins Homem initiated the Republic of Angra purposely situated to serve the ships pioneering today's global society. The cote-of-arms graphically illustrating SeaLegacy Publishing, symbolizes historical events leading to Capt. Duarte's existence via his ancestral grandfather Capt. Alvaro Martins Homem, the bearer of the cote-of-arms.

Forming the basis for producing historical books describing maritime events involving the world's sea routes, Capt. Duarte's ancestry resembles events in history waiting to be discovered. The world has a historical data file willing to be opened where its opening depends on the will of individuals seeking historical truth.

A variety of historical and technical issues relevant to the world of the mariner or aficionado, play a major part in SeaLegacy's publications.

With a growing collection of historical  and technical data, SeaLegacy Publishing will endeavor to produce publications based on such, encouraging readers and authors to seek truth within a world growing turbulent and confused.

Livro Primeiro das Saudades da Terra

Livro Primeiro do Fenix Angrence

The above-shown pages represent a series of manuscripts describing World Maritime History written when the events happened, with emphasis on the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, perhaps better described as the Era of the Great Discoveries. The role of the Vatican Empire influencing the navigators that set sail from the Iberia Peninsula under the leadership of the Order of Christ represent a focal point of the manuscripts. On a secondary stage, the manuscript, Saudades da Terra, demonstrates human development misunderstood by present society, indicating a sophisticated analytical attitude involving human behavior.
